About a minute to see the design and about five weeks for the finished piece: today's estimate is 32–36 days door to door, shown before you pay. The weeks are the cutting and setting, done by hand. For Christmas, order by 19 November; for any other date, count five weeks back and add a few days.

Why does it take weeks?
Because every piece of glass is cut and placed by a person, and the studio is small. A sloop has a hull, a stripe, a cabin, two sails, a mast and a sea in three colours, each a separate piece of glass, each scored, snapped, finished and set. A trawler yacht with a wheelhouse full of windows takes longer again.
The estimate on the create page is live: it is the backend's figure for the product that day, not a promise written here. The making is set out stage by stage on the materials and process page.
When should I order for a date?
Count the 36 days back from the date and add a few for safety. For a launch day, a birthday or a retirement that is a known date; for Christmas the studio's cut-off is 19 November.
| For | Order by | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Christmas | 19 November | The studio's cut-off; the live estimate wins if it shortens |
| A date six weeks out | Today | Comfortable |
| A date five weeks out | Today, and write to the studio | Possible; a person will say honestly |
| A date four weeks out | Too tight for the piece | Order it and give the design print, see below |
What if the date is too close?
Order anyway, and give the design: the drawing Tedooo makes is yours to save and print, and a print of the boat in glass in a card, with the piece to follow, is a better present than nothing on the day. Most owners would rather know a piece of their boat is being cut than open something else.
How is it shipped?
Boxed with its corners protected, the standoffs fitted and the fixings in a small bag, and sent tracked end to end. It ships worldwide; the checkout works out the shipping and any duties for the address you give. For a gift, put the recipient's address there and it goes straight to them. The gift guide has the rest.
Questions this leaves
Can it be rushed?
Not reliably. The weeks are cutting and setting glass by hand, and a rushed piece is a worse piece. Write before you order if the date is tight; a person will tell you whether it can be met, and will not promise what it cannot.
Will I know when it ships?
Yes. The order is tracked end to end through Tedooo, and the tracking link is on the order page from the day it leaves the studio.
